Sourav Joshi prompts a reaction from Mercedes-BenzVlogger Sourav Joshi, who has a whopping 41 million followers on YouTube, joined the ongoing debate around the government’s Ethanol-blended (E20) fuel policy. He claimed that the mileage of his Mercedes SUV had dropped sharply due to ethanol-blended petrol. Following his viral claim, Mercedes-Benz India issued a statement saying all its petrol BS VI vehicles are fully compatible with E20 petrol. Joshi did a U-turn and said that the mileage drop in his Mercedes was caused by an “engine issue”. “I apologise for the misunderstanding regarding E20 petrol,” he said in a post on X.
Zomato customer’s act of kindnessNow, to an act of kindness by a man who said he booked a flight for a Zomato delivery agent who faced a family emergency. Ankit Pandey took to X recalling his conversation with the delivery agent who said his mother was in the ICU. Pandey said he was familiar with the man as he had delivered food to him several times before. Noticing the blue-collar worker’s distress, Pandey booked a flight ticket worth Rs 4,000 for the delivery partner. Home loan request rejected just for being a founderPravin Jadhav, founder of a fintech startup, sparked a debate on social media when he revealed that a top private bank rejected his request for a home loan despite having a CIBIL score of over 800. Jadhav said the bank rejected his request citing that entrepreneurs are seen as a high-risk category.
